We have taken the decision to cancel the event we were due to hold in Scarborough on Friday 2nd December. We will let you know a new date in 2023, hopefully when people aren't too busy, for us to try again. Thank you.
Date: Friday 2nd December 2022
Venue: Roscoe Rooms, Roscoe Street, Scarborough, YO12 7BY
Time: 12pm to 4.15pm (light lunch, coffee and tea on arrival)
We are pleased to announce, that this year we will be reinstating the DMA Network to promote good practice and share learning across learning disability nursing in the NE, Yorkshire and Humber and beyond!
As is tradition, we will be meeting in Scarborough, for an exchange of knowledge amongst those present together with national and local leaders including Dave Atkinson. Dave Harling and Debra Moore with more names to follow.
Main themes for discussion this year include:
1. Learning Disability Inpatient Standards
2. Quality Transformation
3. All England Plan for Learning Disability Nursing
We are keen to enable all colleagues to share their work, ideas and to contribute in different ways so if you wish to lead a discussion or share good practice, please feel free to let us know.
This year we are mindful of the extra difficulties facing our nursing family and therefore, there will be no fee for this event. In order to secure your place, we will be asking for a £10 donation to Cavell Nurses Charity.
You can find out more about the Cavell Nurses Trust here cavellnursestrust.org
We will be following local and national guidance on COVID and flu, we ask that if you have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID and/or you are feeling unwell, please do not attend. Subjects, speakers and contributors may be subject to change.
